She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Mills and Mary Townsley (Newman); her husband Denver Smith; her siblings, Edward Mills, Frank Townsley, Lloyd Townsley and Barbara Hinkle; and her siblings-in-law, Brenda Mills and Ernest Hinkle.

She is survived by: her caregiver Ashley Eversole. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
