He was predeceased by: his sisters, Rachel Taylor and Emma Taylor; and his parents, Vernon Floyd Taylor and Clara Emma Miller Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Sutton Taylor; his son Larry Taylor (Dee) of Aiken, S. C; his granddaughters, Anna Moore (Kitt) of Hilda, S. C. and Jordan Mink of Aiken, S. C.; and his siblings, John Wesley Taylor (Nell) of Lexington and Louise Crabtree (Lee) of Paradise Valley.
