He was predeceased by: his parents, Bishop Smallwood and Phoebe Jane Wagers Smallwood; his sons, Oakley Smallwood Jr., Samie Gerald, Otis and Wesley Smallwood; his grandsons, Rocky Evans and Charles Bishop Smallwood; his siblings, Adrian, Robert Smallwood, Myrtle Smith, Betty Allen, Leona Garland and Roxie Smallwood; and his sister-in-law Anna Louise Garland.
He is survived by: his wife Amanda Smallwood of Barbourville; his daughters, Sherry Gray (Johnny) of Lily, Darlene Bingham of Barbourville, Barbara Smith (Tim) of Barbourville, Sharon Wells (Steve) of Corbin and Rose Ella Jones (Kenneth) of Corbin; his stepbrother Sim Dunn Jr.; and his grandchildren, Beth Smallwood, Robert Evans, Christopher Gray, Angelina Gray, Mandi Hearld, Maciah Smith, Nikki Vaughn, Shawntae Smith, Matthew Wells, Bradley Wells, Shawn Jones, Joey Lee Jones, Shannon Merritt, Ashlie Waltz and Kendra Sevier. He is also survived by 33 great grandchildren.
