She was predeceased by: her parents, Mable Williams King and Otto King; her husband Virgil Mills; her grandmother Amanda Della Carroll; her sisters, Christine "Lily" Davis, Emma Noble and Ruth Moore; her grandson Jathan Malachi Patterson; and also, James Edward "Whitey" King and Tom King.

She is survived by: her pets, Jack, Trooper and Soully; her daughters, Tina Sowders (Jay) and Virgie York (Jason); her grandchildren, Andrew "Jed" Sowders (Whitney), Devin Sowders (Megan Perry), Jaylee York and Jase Reid York; and her great grandchildren, Braylei and Cobe.
