It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mable Ann Charles of Barbourville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Hood and Martha Reed Hood; her husband Vernon Charles; her siblings, Glen Hood, Richard Hood, James Hood, Betty Tilford and Rosemary Reynolds; and her son-in-law John Goodin.

She is survived by: her children, Eugene Singleton of Bardstown, Manuel Palmer of Detroit, Cynthia Smith of Barbourville, Rachel Bowling (Shelby) of Pineville and Brenda Smith (James) of Smithcreek; and her sister Violet Allen (Richard) of Sullivan, Illinois.. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
