He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Bays and Margarette Noe Bays; his wife Ann Bays; his brothers, William Jessie Bays and Alford Hershel Bays; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Bays and Clayton Ledford.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Bays Warren (Aaron) of Barbourville; his sister Nora Helen Bays Ledford of Taylor Mill; his sister-in-law Charlotte Bays of Radcliff; and his grandson Cameron Aaron Warren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
