With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Goodman Peace Jr. (Barbourville, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2024 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Peace, Sr. and Lucie Wynn Peace; his wife Norma Christine Logan Peace; his siblings, Jay B. Peace, Morris "Bud" Peace, Imogene Tolliver, Wilma Short and Bernice Smith; his grandson Brandon Michael Peace; his daughter-in-law Roelene Peace; his brothers-in-law, Jack Morgan, William Logan (Delena), Vealor Logan (Gerry), Grover C. Logan, Jr. (Rosie), Robert Logan (Edith) and James D. Logan (Darlene); and his parents-in-law, Grover Cleveland Logan and Ella Mae Logan.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Wayne Peace, Stanley Kay Peace (Violet) and Delores Christine Peace Cecil (Barry); his siblings, James Peace (Earlene) and Shirley Morgan; and his grandchildren, Travis Michael Peace, Christopher Bryan Peace, Jessica Hall (Jeremy), Anna Peace, Stanton Kayne Peace (Shawnda), Robert Dunaway (Selena), Donald Dunaway (Heather), Tanisha Jones (David), Hannah Cox (Austin), Haylee Lewis and George.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral BIG Brush Creek Missionary Church. A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Tinsley Cemetery.
