It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Bays of Barbourville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Billy C. Bays; and his grandson Corey Matthew Bays. He is survived by: his mother Billie Joe Bays (Smith) of Bull Run; his wife Chantel Bays (Barrett) of Barbourville; his children, Gary Michael Bays (Angela) of Gray, John Bays (Jessica) of Barbourville, Adam Bays (Rachel) of Gray, Paul Bays (Jessica) of Gray, Tessa Mills (Lucas) of Alaska, Paige Barrett of Barbourville and Haley Bays of Barbourville; his siblings, Brenda Sue Haren of Barbourville, Gail Smith of Gary, Ricky Bays of Barbourville, Ronnie Bays of Okinawa, Debbie Carnes of Barbourville, Donald Bays of Barbourville, Beverly Mayer of Barbourville and Roseanna Bays of Barbourville; his grandchildren, Aria Mills, Emma Mills, Little Mike Bays, Michaela Bays, Jaden Bays, Brittany Bays, Logan Bays, Isaac Bays, Addison Bays, Kennedy Bays, Bristol Bays, Ryleigh Bays, Chloe Bays and Hadleigh Bays; and his close friend Harold Mays.
Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, August 26th from 6:00 until 9:00 p. m. and on Thursday, August 27th from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 3:00 p. m. Please remember, during the ongoing pandemic, there will be capacity restrictions and social distancing guidelines that we will need to follow during all our services.
