He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gilbert and Clara Helton Gilbert; his daughter Linda Taulbe; his siblings, Delbert Gilbert, Ken Gilbert, Carl Gilbert, Clovis Gilbert, Nadine Cone, Edith Gilbert and William Gilbert; and his granddaughter Carol Ann Hickman.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Morgan, Jerry Gilbert and Melissa Miller; and his sister Wanda Moses. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren.
