He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hembree of Barbourville; his sons, Charley Fryer of Corbin and Jason Hembree (Beverly) of Barbourville; his siblings, Jeanetta Mays of Heidrick and Stanley "Hoot" Hembree of Gray; and his grandsons, Braden and Ben Hembree.
