He is survived by: his father Elmer Shepherd of Blue River; his wife Hazel Watkins Nelson; his children, Billy Nelson of Medford, Ben Shepherd of Banner, Kentucky and Crystal Nelson of Hager Hill, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Tyler Clevenger, Greg Hensley, Leeland Shepherd, Melanie Shepherd, Megan Hensley, Madison Holbrook, Alyssa Clevenger, Annley Nelson and Taylor Watts; and his sister Sue Nelson. He is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren.
