He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Ben Lewis and Alice Cox Lewis; his wife Stella E. Lewis; his daughter Alice Jean Louden; his great grandchildren, Alyssa Louden and Christian Stinnett; and his brothers, Ben A. Lewis, David H. Lewis and James H. Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, John C. Lewis (Cindy) of Bagdad and Racene L. Curtsinger of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Jessica Butler (Erik), Jenny Lewis, Melinda Stinnett (Randy), Lee Ben Louden (Britnee), Ryan Curtsinger and Johnny Lewisand (Shiela); and his great grandchildren, Julia King, Savanah Butler, Brynn King, Memphis Louden, Maylee Louden, Wyatt Butler, Cooper King, John Thomas Lewis, Jr., Jase Simmons, Austin Stinnett, Billy Stinnett and Lincoln Curtsinger.
