He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whitaker and Flossie Combs Whitaker; and his siblings, Emmalene Whitaker, Charles, Earl, Edgar and Caddie Whitaker.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Whitaker; his children, Kimberly Sizemore (Tim) of Berea, KY, Wanda K. Browning (Eddie) of Hazard, KY and John Whitaker of Hazard, KY; his siblings, Matilda Smith of Somerset, KY, Laura Etta Lewis (Pearl) of Eubank, KY, Shirley Lewis (Victor) of Wooton, KY, Debbie Melton (Bill) of Wooton, KY and Billy Ray Whitaker of Big Creek, KY; his grandchildren, Alicia Rhodus (Daniel), Ashley Wells (Nathaniel) and Kianna Browning; and his great grandchildren, Ashton, Layken, Braxton and Phoebe. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews.
