We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2021 we had to say goodbye to William Russell Hughes of Auxier, Kentucky, born in Martin, Kentucky. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Joseph and Maza Rebecca Crisp Hughes; his sons, David Randall and William Matthew Hughes; his siblings, Maggie Hayes, Joan McGauley, James, Philemon, Earnest and Freeman Hughes; and his son-in-law Jesse Hall Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Alicia Crisp Hughes; his children, Marcia Jean Flanagan (David), Leila Ann Hall, Brenda Lee Paulino (Joseph), Valerie Dawn Bennington (Paul), John Michael Hughes (Linda Boggs) and Mark Bradford Hughes; his stepson Patrick Todd Mayo; and his sisters-in-law, Geneva Hughes and Bonnie Faulkner.

Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky Family ask that you respect all COVID protocol.
