He was predeceased by: his father Carl Payne; and his brothers, Leroy and Roger Payne. He is survived by: his wife Ann Mattingly Payne; his daughter Julie Payne of Bardstown; his granddaughter Annabelle Murphy; and his sister Brenda Pook (Richard) of Glasgow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
