He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Malcom and Lillie May Smith (Malcomb); and his children, William Smith, Jr. and Karen Hill. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Smith (Koiner); his children, Ann Hayes and Ronnie Smith; his sister Betty Woolridge; and his grandchildren, Brad Hayes (Amanda), Shawn Hill, Cindy Smith, Brandon Smith and Kevin Smith (Amber).
