He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Appleman, and Elizabeth Appleman, I; and his sisters, Betsey Appleman and Edythe Flaugher. He is survived by: his wife Margaret K. "Monni" Appleman; his sons, Joshua M. Appleman (Amanda) and Nathan Appleman (Rachel); his stepson Aaron Hunt (Kelsey); his daughters, Chelsea Percoco (Nick), Julienne Rostand and Caitlyn Sparks (Chris); his stepdaughter Andrea McGriff (Mark); his siblings, Michael Appleman (Sandy) and Susanne Thornsbury (Fred); his brother-in-law Billy "Stick" Flaugher; and his pet Bess. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
