He is survived by: his wife Debra Hazel; his daughter Samara Carney (C. J.) of Auburn; his siblings, Joe Hazel (Loretta) of Bowling Green, James "Moe" (Sheila) of Auburn, Sandra Lee (Randy) of Port Charlotte and Tammy Bivins (Jerry) of Dunmore; and his grandson Devin Matthew Carney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
