It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John William Gaines of Auburn, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 95, on February 25, 2021. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Fleming and Mabel Gladys Gaines (McGehee); his wife Nancy Gaines (Vick); his daughters, Vicki Miller (Joey) of Franklin and Beverly Karaffa (John) of New Albany; his grandchildren, Jeff Neal (Sonya), Beth Davis (Tim), Nick Karaffa (Caitlin) and Matt Karaffa; and his great grandchildren, Austin Neal, Brayden Neal, Keaton Neal, Madison Davis, Preston Davis, Braxton Davis and Eliza Karaffa.

The Family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.

“We are so sorry to hear of Mr Gaines' passing. We met him at our church a few years ago and he and Mrs Gaines were really nice people. I knew Vicki from many years ago, but had never met her parents. I just got a sense of comfort and joy whenever I talked to them. Our good thoughts and prayers are with Mrs Gaines and the family at this hard time. Stay well and always remember what a good man he was. Dave and Pat Greer”
