He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ellen Meador Hanks; his children, Charles Kelley Hanks (Jana) of Auburn, Edward Hanks (Joy Beth) of Bowling Green and Alecia Stamps (Eric) of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Laura Hanks Petrino (Josh), Keeton Hanks, Kent Stamps (Jessica), Allie Hanks Sowell (Jackson), Karly Stamps Haley (Jon), Katlyn Stamps Cole (Matt), Hunter Hanks, Kendall Stamps (Mackenzie) and Tate Hanks. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
