He was predeceased by: his parents, Robie Harper and Velma Bivins Harper; and his siblings, Robie Harper, Jr., Charles Harper, Jimmy Harper, Jewel Mallory and Marie McCaley.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Harper, Stephanie Meacham and Jennifer Whitney; and his sister Betty Hatcher. He is also survived by 9 grand children; 12 great grand children.
