He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Williams Burgher; his sister Annetta Burgher Bunch; and his grandson Jesse Dylan Burgher. He is survived by: his children, Jesse "Danny" (Monica Burgher), William "Mike" (Lorraine Burgher) and Suzanne (Rex Payne); his grandchildren, Mary Payne, Marlena Burgher, Rachel Payne Dickson, Joshua Burgher, Sadie Burgher, Angelica Burgher and Anita Burgher; his caregivers, Evelyn Price and Kenneth Pendleton; his nephews, George Bunch and Roy Morgan; and his friends, Larry Dorris, Jason Dorris, Danny Moore, Kenneth Pendleton and Joe Smotherman.
