She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Johnson and Mattie Lewis Johnson; her husband Bernard Kouns, Jr.; her siblings, Estill Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Earl Johnson, Paul Timothy Johnson and Ethel Johnson Hale; and her grandson Jason Kouns.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Weis (Joe) of Westwood, Sherry Castle (Donald) of Westwood, Reba Manning (Charles) of Ashland and Bernard Alan Kouns of Ashland; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Henrich (Lynn), Jeffrey Castle (Kathy), Jeremy Manning (Alberta), Joshua Manning (Joy), Angela Castle Riley and Steven Kouns. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, along with a host of extended family and friends.
