She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hackney and Juanita Thompson; and her sister Mickey Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Richard Dartey; and her children, Sheffy Turner, Michael Dempsey (Susan) and David Dempsey (Claudia). She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel (1632 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Rose Hill Burial Park (3801 13th St, Ashland, KY 41102).
