He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Edward and Thelma Irene Layne (Perry); his son Bryan "Buzz" Layne; and his brothers, Keith and Jerry Layne.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Diane Layne (Clark); his son Steven Layne (Brooke); his grandchildren, Jacob Layne of Raymond and Bryanna Layne of Pedro; and his siblings, Paul Layne, Terry Layne, Mike Layne, Janet Deason, Patty Geswein, Brenda Carpenter and Becky Layne. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home (518 S 6th St, Ironton, OH 45638).
