Rebecca Darling Obituary
Rebecca Mae Rankin Darling passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.
Becky was born February 26, 1969, in Ashland to the late Roy William Rankin and Missouri Mae Griffiths.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Timmy Reffitt and a special sister Melissa Keesee.
Becky retired from the Walmart in Ashland after 25 years of employment. She loved working puzzles, crafts and going to bingo in her free time. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2329 Women's Auxiliary in Ashland. Above everything she loved spending time with her kids. Becky was a very hardworking woman and had a heart of gold. Becky always made herself available to others when needed and served as the glue for most of her family. Becky was a wonderful mother, friend, relative and coworker to name a few.
She leaves behind two loving daughters Kimberly Darling of Ironton and Katlyn Darling of Ashland; her extra parents Jim and Bonnie Griffitts of Ashland; brothers Paul "Bubba" Griffitts of Ashland, Bob Moore (Jenny) of Flatwoods, Billy Rankin of Ashand and Veron Reffitt (Anita) of Georgia; a sister Debora Litteral of Arkansas; special brothers Rob Griffitts (Kelly) of Durbin and James "JR" Griffitts of Ashland; a special sister Tammi Mullins (Glen) of Ashland; a life partner, Herbert "Herbie" Travis of Ashland along with his daughters Tiffany Travis (Doug Cottle) and Amber Travis (Mikayla Bontrager), and his grandchildren Avery, Quinton and Nora Cottle, Hazel and Emily Garn, and baby Tylei; along with a host of extended family and friends, including everyone that also called her "mom".
A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-6 at the funeral home.
