He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Joseph Dowling and Frances Elizabeth Riffe Dowling; and his siblings, James Joseph Dowling and Marcia Dowling Mabley. He is survived by: his niece Frances L. Mabley of Ashland; his nephew James Michael Mabley of Ashland; and his great-niece Rachel E. Hannah Persson.
