Potter of Ashland, Kentucky, born in Greenup, Kentucky, whose life came to an end on August 23, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zack Potter and Dora Skeens Potter; his former wife Mary Jo Arnold Potter; and his siblings, Martha Lewis, Earnest Potter, Zack Potter, Jr., Donald Potter, Evelyn Marie Bates, Cecil Potter, Eugene Potter and Dorothy Barney.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Garvin Potter; his children, Kenneth W. Potter (Karen) and Kathy Porter (Harry); his grandchildren, Jason Goad (Tina), Kennetta Freholm and Kari Bradley; his great grandchildren, Jaycie, Jadyn, Kyli, Andi, Jackson, Ian and Eva; and his sisters, Wanda Angel and Dora Mae Dalton.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Gideons International or to the Cannonsburg First Baptist Church.
