He was predeceased by: his parents, Beeman Kinney and Elaine Yarnell Kinney; his wife Eloise Francis Adams Kinney; and his sister Barbara Jean Bone. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Smith (Robert) of Ashland, KY. and Paul Michael Kinney (Cynthia) of Vinton, VA.; his brother David Michael Kinney (Karen) of Bowerston, OH.; his grandchildren, John Edward Kinney (Amanda) of Alexandria, VA., Jessica Leighty of Ashland, KY., Jason Ryan Smith of Lexington, KY. and Elizabeth Greene (Bryan) of Ashland, KY.; his great grandchildren, John Ryan, Taylor, Carson, Alice, Lilly, Madeline and Pearl; and his caregiver Teresa Mills. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in John' s memory should be made to Rose Hill Baptist Church or Gideons International.
