James Everett Day Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Everett Day of Ashland, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Day and Grace Craycraft Day; his former wife Lois Jenkins Day; and also, Mildred Bailey, Jami Day Cyrus and Linda Day Savage.
He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Day Dehart of Ashland; his granddaughters, Staci Caudill (Gerald) and Kristina Richardson; his great grandchildren, Andrew Drake Richardson, Lacey Gehringer, Dillon Caudill, Brooklyn Gehringer and Layla Tussey; his sister Joyce Day Perkins (Don) of Ashland; and his stepchildren, Stephen Chapman, Stephanie Dorsey, Stacy Thomas and Jeremy Chapman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rose Hill Baptist Church (1001 Winslow Rd, Ashland, KY 41102). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
