It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Emory Salyers of Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lenora Newland Salyers; and his siblings, Bert Salyers Jr. and Patty Dwyer. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Ferguson of Catlettsburg, Ky Tonaya Conley (Toby) of Catlettsburg, KY, Todd Salyers (Michelle) of Ironton, OH and Timothy Salyers (Angie) of Ashland, KY; his grandchildren, Erin Ferguson, Allyson Salyers, Brandon Hart (India), Cameron Hart (Grace), Jesse Salyers, Kristen Salyers and Tiffany Smallridge; his great grandchildren, Sutton, August, Aidyn and Holland; his siblings, Charles Fitch (Sarah) of Russell, Troy "Buddy" Fitch (Darlene) of Catlettsburg, KY, Bonnie Caskey of Huntington, WV and Virginia Carol Pelkey of Fraser Michigan; and also Debbie Smallridge of Catlettsburg. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
