It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Naomi Lycan Fairchild of Ashland, Kentucky, born in Fort Gay, West Virginia, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Lycan and Minnie Austin Lycan; her husband Roy Fairchild; her siblings, Ed Lycan, Lillian Queen and Ruth Smith; and her son-in-law John Stevens.
She is survived by: her daughter Judith Carol Stevens; her grandchildren, Christe Griffith (Steve), Greg Stevens (Leslie) and Mark Stevens (Lisa); her great grandchildren, Emily Pennington (Justin), Eleanor Stevens, Cameron Stevens (Brooke), Sara Youngblood (Collins) and Skylar Morrison; her great great grandchildren, Carson Pennington, Cash Pennington, Layla Duffield, Roy Reed, Presley Youngblood and Heidi Stevens; and her nieces and nephews, Roy Allen Smith (Rita), Tim Lycans, Randy Lycans, Kathy Whitt (Roy), Marchelle, Tammy and Cheri.
