He is survived by: his wife Maye Hammonds; and his children, Don Hammonds (Pam) of Ashland, John Hammonds (Melinda) of Florida, Eddie Evans (Penny) of Mechanicsville, Virginia and Linda (Jim) of Tennessee. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
