She was predeceased by: her parents, William W. Atkins and Elizabeth Kesling Atkins; her husband John Descome Smith; her son William Craig Smith; her sisters, Rose Lee Roberts, Rebecca Anne Fannin and Joyce Nanette Sweeney; and her grandmother Carolyn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jonda Lockhart (Rob) of Catlettsburg and Jill Thibodeaux (Eric) of Ashland; her daughter-in-law Anita M. Smith of Ashland; her sister Myra Olah of Wooster, OH; her grandchildren, Leah Lockhart Dixon (Joe), Anna Lockhart Wright (Nathan), Natalie Thibodeaux Gilbert (Gage), Luke Thibodeaux, Adalynn Hampton and Wyatt Hampton; her great grandchildren, Henry Dixon, Elliott Wright and Margot Dixon; and her children, Holly Waggoner Hampton (Matt), Kelly Waggoner Bringhurst (Mark), Jacob Smith and Hope Smith.
