He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Asher and Sophia Collett Asher; and his sons, Eddie, Willis Dean and Billy Ray Asher.

He is survived by: his daughter Theresa Shepherd (Michael); his daughter-in-law Deanna Asher; his siblings, Waldon Asher and Nancy Asher; his grandchildren, Jeremy Asher (Cheryl), Jason Hacker, James Hacker, Sharon Pelfrey (David) and Natasha Williams (Justin); and his great grandchildren, Carter Asher, Maddie Pelfrey, Zachary Pelfrey, Connor Williams and Dawson Sizemore.
