He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Spears and Eva Adkins Spears; his wife Fayetta Overstreet Spears; his children, Christopher Lee, Steven Wilson Spears and Wanda Looney; and his siblings, Herman Spears, Nuwaina, Blue Eyes, Pearlene Lambert, Betty Abshire and Marie Spears.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy (Scherry) of Gallipolis, Joey Spears (Linda) of Breaks, Hestal Wayne Spears of Ashcamp, Sandra and Rhonda Spears of Harman; and his sister Lois Ratliff of Harless Creek. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
