Curtis Ray Swiney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2025, at the age of 91, Curtis Ray Swiney of Ashcamp, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Swiney and Orpha Cantrell Swiney; his son Tony Curtis Swiney; his siblings, George Ratliff, Raymond Swiney, Glen Swiney, Jimmy Swiney, Ollie Ratliff Hunt, Eulean Anderson, Bessie Henry and Lucille Tostin; and his son-in-law Harold Dean Rowe.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Rose Swiney of Ashcamp, KY; his daughter Rejeana Rowe of Phyllis, KY; his daughter-in-law Peggy Lynn Swiney of Ashcamp, KY; his grandchildren, Ryan Swiney, Terri Caldwell, Heather Hackney and Curtis Rowe; his great grandchildren, Destiny Johnson, Liberty Richards, Victory Richards, Trinity Richards, Braydon Swiney, Brylon Swiney, Caleb Gibson, Gavan Rowe, Storm Caldwell, Carter Rowe, Marcie Rowe and Remi Rowe; and his great great grandchild Ellie Gibson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel (112 Elkhorn St, Elkhorn City, KY 41522). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
