It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Allen Hampton of Artemus, Kentucky, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Reed and Ruby Hampton (Peters); his daughter Donna Ann Hampton (Troy Allen Hampton); his wife Lovella Lee; and his son Troy Allen.
He is survived by: his child Lovella (Baney); his brothers, Ted Hampton (Margie), Elbert Hampton (Nancy) and John Rex Hampton (Karen); his nieces and nephews, Susan Merida (Scotty), Lisa Yeager (John), Steve Hampton (Shannon) and Lori-Beth Brock (Todd); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Johnna Rae Yeager, Dallas Yeager, Logan Hampton, Spencer Brock, Marcus Merida, Tory Canady, Olivia Smith, Chesney Hampton and Brileigh Brock; and also, Thomas, Luke, Troy Yeager, Baney, Gary, Theresa Harris, Johnny McVey, John Daniel McVey, Corey McVey, Tommy Peters, Kenneth Vaughn, Dallas Mills Jr., Kenneth Lay, William Stewart, Jay Hampton, Todd Brock, Scotty Merida, John Yeager and Sheriff Mike Smith of Sheriff's Department.
