She was predeceased by: her father John Hammonds; her son Richard Eugene Sams, Jr.; her sister Ruby Dorris; and her niece Rebecca Dorris. She is survived by: her sister Kaye Rideout (Glen) of Bardwell, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Kelsey Drew, Keeley West, Dakota Sams and Matthew Sams; her great grandchildren, Jake Sams, Railyn Drew, Myla Drew and Addison West; and her nephews, Jon Rideout and Robert Rideout.
