He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Pearlie Lawson Proffitt; his stepchildren, Sally Sherman (Joe) of London, KY, Bennie Ray Smith of London, KY, Aaron Dwayne Henson of London, KY and Betty Ray of Corbin, KY; his siblings, Martha Bentley, Clyde Junior Proffitt and Beulah Howard; his sister-in-law Katherine Proffitt; his parents, Dan Proffitt and Fanny Bruner Proffitt; his stepson Carlo Henson; his siblings, Harrison Proffitt (Nancy), Bobbie Benge (Denver) and J. D. Proffitt; and his brothers-in-law, Don Bentley and Arliss Howard.
