It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Pitchford of Alvaton, Kentucky, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pitchford and Chloe Pitchford; his wife Patsy H. Pitchford; his son Robert H. Pitchford; and his sister Hilda C. Pitchford.
He is survived by: his son J. Duncan Pitchford (Alice); his grandsons, Hudson and Ryan of Chesterfield Virginia; and his siblings, Ann Whitfield of Prospect, Sarah Byars of Hopkinsville, Patsy Goad of Richmond, Jennifer Burchett of Scottsville and Jeff Pitchford of Franklin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel on April 10, 2021, from 2 until 4 p. m., observing current COVID-19 related restrictions.
