He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Bobo York and Cora Bell Bybee York; his siblings, Fred Richmond York, Joseph Eugene York, Willard Francis York, Myrtle Bee Gravil, Frances Evelyn Belk, Mary Rebecca Crouch, Bonnie Inez Kington, Janie Jeannette Cowles and Minnie Ruth Tzoras; and his granddaughter Lexie Mackenzie York.
He is survived by: his children, Freddie Eugene York Jr. (Michaela), Samantha Elliott (Edward), Richard Phelps, Kristina, Crystal Shepherd (Shane) and Ashley Taylor (Jesse); his grandchildren, Taylor Madison York, Brian Maddox York, Shane Michael Shepherd, Zachary Steven Shepherd, Kailey May Phelps, Jesse Lee Taylor Jr. and Mackenzie Grace Phelps; his great grandchild Kingston Grey Embry; and his brother Frankie Joe York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Funeral Chapel (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1209 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42103).
