“I met Deal in 1961 when he was 5 and I was 16.. Our families got together often socially. In 1974, Deal's mother and my father married, and we both became members of an incredible extended family. Photos are from a 1961 picnic, a family Christmas celebration in 2006, a fence-painting effort in 2010 which Deal undertook "because it needed to be done" and another photo from 2010 of Deal and his sister Elizabeth. He was a true family man and his whole family (now including grandkids) will miss him.”
