She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Friar; her parents, Glen Allen Hale and Elizabeth Howell Hale; and her siblings, Mattison "Buck", Jack, Larry, Kane Hale and Bessie Maynard.
She is survived by: her sister Glenda Layne of Cottontown, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Clara's Honor may be made to, Betsy Layne DAV Chapter 169, Floyd County Animal Shelter or the Harold Church of Christ.
