He was predeceased by: his wife Gwendolyn Lee Branham Lafferty; his parents, Bennie Lafferty and Gretchen Hall Lafferty; his granddaughter Sarah Renee Lafferty; and his son-in-law Sam Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Bennie Michael Lafferty (Pauletta) of Banner, KY and Melissa Lee Nelson of Dwale, KY; his grandchildren, Sammy Nelson, Alicia Maynard, Bennie Nathaniel Lafferty, James Michael Lafferty and Madison Brooke Kidd; and his great grandchildren, Alyiah Grace Nelson, R. J. Maynard, Jared Michael Lafferty, Beaux Maynard, Samuel Kingsley Nelson, Bennie Xavier Lafferty, Joshua Myles Lafferty, Julia Kay Lafferty and Jamie Owen Kidd.
