He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence J. Schulkens and Luella Schulkens (Futscher). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Schulkens and Morgan Schulkens; his brothers, Gary (Andrea) and Richard Schulkens (Missie); and his granddaughter Sadie Schulkens. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
