He was predeceased by: his father James V. Mendell; and his brothers, Robert H. Mendell and Stephen J. Mendell. He is survived by: his spouse Diana Mendell; his children, Robert Mendell (Jennifer), Maria Mendell, Michelle Raleigh (Michael) and William T. Mendell; his grandchildren, Alexis Mendell, Bailey Mendell, Alyssa Damron, Chloe Estepp, Chayse Raleigh, William "Ty" Mendell, Jackson Mendell and Sydney Raleigh; his mother Dorothy Bennett; his brother Patricia Mendell; and also, Susan Nolan (Terry), Janet Heck (Greg), Mary Mendell and Nancy Mendell.
