“Dear linda and john, i just heard about your mothers passing. I just wanted to let you know how much i loved your mom, and how many fond memories i have of her. Even though i didn't see her often after moving away, each time i did see her she always had a smile and always remembered some tid bit of my growing up and hanging out at your winters lane home.
