“Very saddened to learn of the passing of an old friend, Chip Haddix. We first met when he served as a young Naval Officer stationed at New Orleans. Over the years, we talked politics, KY and LSU basketball, early Kentucky history, and even the music of the Chuckwagon Gang. I had hoped to visit with Chip but the pandemic postponed those plans. Chip was a gifted man. I will remember his kindness to me. Sending prayers for his wife, Lala, and the Haddix families.”
