She was predeceased by: her parents, John Johns and Estelle Johns (Roach); her son Gene Lawson; her son-in-law Art Pena; her siblings, Lucy Parrott (Jim), Janis Davis and Johnny Lee Johns; her stepsister Frankie "Big" Jean Denton; her brother-in-law Don West; her grandchildren, Travis Goings, Dominic Pena and Jamie Petty; and her great grandchild Liam Lawson.

She is survived by: her husband Donald Knutty; her children, Kenneth Lawson (Shannon), Darlene Pena, Elaine Hendrix (Thomas), Melinda Hamilton, Donald Knutty Jr. (Wanda), Deborah Seery, Tim Knutty, Lisa Hartenstein and Crystal Newcomb (Donnie); her daughter-in-law Brenda Lawson; her siblings, Jean West "Baby Sis", Dale Johns (Yvonne) and Larry Campbell; and her brother-in-law Howard "Cowboy" Davis. She is also survived by forty-one grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home (21190 E Main St, Huntingdon, TN 38344). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Veteran Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
